Veracruz, Ver.- El robo al transporte de carga se mantiene en carreteras del país, señaló el vicepresidente nacional de Amotac, Carlos García Álvarez. Advirtió por un aumento a los ataques al transporte de carga en todo México. Consideró que debe reforzarse la vigilancia en los caminos para garantizar la seguridad de todos los usuarios. Acusó que difícilmente son apoyados por la autoridad cuando llega a presentarse algún incidente en las carreteras, en términos de inseguridad.
“Por desgracia, nosotros somos un objetivo de la delincuencia organizada. Cuando suceden los hurtos nunca hay presencia policiaca. El Gobierno finge que nos atiende, pero sólo nos ha atendido a medias y con resultados muy pobres”. Además de cubrir sus pérdidas económicas, a los empresarios del transporte les ha tocado ver a sus operarios baleados, secuestrados e incluso asesinados. Y es que los delincuentes no se conforman con llevarse la mercancía o el camión completo, sino que llegan a lesionar, a veces de gravedad, a los operadores.
“Tenemos, en promedio, dos compañeros caídos al mes. De 10 a 20 operadores baleados y en cuanto a camiones robados, hasta 20 en un solo día a pesar de que se les ponen localizadores y custodia”, abundó. Insistió en que se necesita reforzar la vigilancia en las carreteras del país y que la autoridad brinde mayor atención al transporte de carga.
